To the Honorable City Council:
The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council approve the establishment of a Grant Match Account with a $15,000 transfer from the Health and Human Services-Community Wellness Division's-Professional & Technical Services Account (0154452-530000) to the Health and Human Services-Community Wellness Division's-Special Items account to meet the match requirement from the Massachusetts Department of Agriculture's Food Security Infrastructure Grant.
The purpose of this grant is to pay for the equipment, materials, and services necessary to install a new walk-in refrigerator and cooler for the Somerville Mobile Farmers Market, expanding the cold storage capacity for low-cost, locally grown produce.
