To the Honorable City Council:

 

The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve expending a grant of $257,540 from NSTAR dba Eversource Energy to IAM-Engineering, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds.

 

The purpose of this grant is receive payment in lieu of permanent resurfacing and restoration (PRR) of various streets. IAM-Engineering will receive the fair value of the work to be completed by Eversource Energy to repair and resurface roadways disturbed by the utility's trench work. These funds will be utilized by the department to complete the PRR using existing City contractors.
