Dear City Clerk John Long,

I wish to comment on the Union Square DIF Proposal.

I believe the City should not move forward with this proposal until it holds additional public hearings, at least 3 more because people need multiple opportunities to ensure the most people can attend at least one. The comment period on this proposal which currently ends today should be extended by at least another 4 weeks.

The City ought to ensure all property owners and lessees in the affected area receive proper written notice asap since apparently not everyone got the message yet.

The City ought to conduct a full financial analysis on this proposal to ensure that expected revenues will exceed the debt required for development.

This process needs to slow down so that residents have the opportunity to understand the proposal and give their input.

Sincerely,
Barry Rafkind
