To the Honorable Board:

 

I hereby request, subject to the approval of your Honorable Board, an appropriation in the amount of $1,002,291.00 to purchase DPW vehicles and equipment to replace aging fleet in conjuction with the approved FY18 Capital Improvement Plan.  To meet said appropriation, the Treasurer will be authorized to borrow $1,002,291.00 as provided by MGL Chapter 44. 

•                     Purchase New Vacuum Street Sweeper

•                     Replace 14 Year Old 6 Wheel Muni Body/ Plow/ Sander

•                     Replace 14 Year Old 10 Wheel Dump / Plow / Sander

•                     Replace 14 Year Old Parks Utility Truck (JC Spec)

•                     Replace Tree Crew Pickup Truck that was retired 5 years ago

•                     Replace 12 Year Old Pickup / Plow / Sander

•                     Replace Retired 15 Yr Old Scrapped Unit with F-150 EXT Cab Pickup / Liftgate

•                     Reassign to Highway Fleet (Replace with F-150 Crew Weather Pkg)

•                     Replace 26 Year Old Flat Bed Trailer
