To the Honorable Board:

The City of Somerville has received a donation of fitness equipment and folding chairs valued at $850.00 from the Holiday Inn, 30 Washington Street.  The general manager of the Hotel hopes the City can use this equipment at our senior centers.                     

In accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44, section 53A, which requires a vote of the Board of Aldermen for the expenditure of grants or gifts from the federal government, a charitable foundation, private corporation, or an individual or from the Commonwealth, a county or a municipality or agency thereof,  I request that you accept these donations.
