To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request that your Honorable Board appropriate $1,007,566 from the Parks Stabilization Fund for the renovations and restoration of historic Prospect Hill Park. The project will include: structural and accessibility improvements, sidewalk and pedestrian safety improvements, as well as historic interpretation elements highlighting the history of the site.  The total project cost is estimated at $2,762,100 and will be funded through a variety of sources including:

CPA

2018 PARC Grant

Community Development Block Grant

Unexpended bond funds

Park Stabilization. 

The city is also actively applying for a 2019 PARC grant which, if granted, will further decrease city funding by $400,000
