Requesting Approval to Extend the Contract of Johnson Roberts Associates to 12/31/10

To the Honorable Board:

In 2006, Johnson Roberts Associates, Inc. and the City of Somerville entered into Contract #07-076 for House Doctor architectural services.  Johnson Roberts Associates, Inc. House Doctor contract has been renewed each of the last three years for a number of projects, and recently extended to August 31, 2010 for the Conway Park Wall project. Due to an extended design phase, I request you submit to the Board of Alderman, in accordance with §2-369 of the Somerville Code, a request to extend Contract #07-076R3 to December 31, 2010.   This extension will allow the City to continue working with Johnson Roberts Associates, Inc. to complete the Conway Park Wall project.  There is no additional financial consideration to this extension.
