To the Honorable City Council:
Pursuant to Section 3-7(a) of the City Charter, the Mayor respectfully conveys to this Council that I designate Kevin Klein to perform the duties of the office of Director of Inspectional Services on a temporary basis until the office can be filled through the regular hiring process. I certify that this person is qualified to perform the duties which will be required and that I make this designation solely in the interests of the city of Somerville.
Appropriate staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.
