Dear Honorable Board of Aldermen,

I hereby request, subject to the approval of your Honorable Board, an appropriation in the amount of $8,000,000, and authorization for the City Treasurer, with the approval of the Mayor to borrow $8,000,000 for the cost of initiating the 2012 Union Square Revitalization Plan.

To meet said appropriation, the Treasurer will be authorized to borrow $8,000,000 as provided by M.G.L. Chapter 44.

The formal appropriation order drafted by Bond Counsel is attached to this communication.
