To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request that your Honorable Board accept a grant of $250,000 from the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources to the Office of Sustainability & Environment, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for the following projects:

• City Hall-Lighting and Control Upgrades

• Fire Headquarters-Lighting and Control Upgrades

• West Somerville School-Lighting and Control Upgrades

• Multiple locations-Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank your for your consideration of this item.
