To the Honorable City Council:
The Chair of the School Committee respectfully conveys to this Council the Fiscal Year 2027 School Department budget as approved by the School Committee on June 8, 2026.
On May 20, 2026 the Finance and Facilities Subcommittee of the Whole voted to recommend an additional $645,000 representing six additional positions to the District's proposed budget. The additional $645,500 brought the School Department's proposed budget to $123,101,384.
On June 8, 2026, the School Committee voted to approve the FY27 School Department budget in the amount of $123,101,384.
