To the Honorable City Council:

The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve to accept a gift valued at $18,000 from Boston's Office of Emergency Management to the DPW Buildings Division for a 2012 Generator, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This gift does not require the commitment of new matching funds.

The purpose of this gift is to use for Emergency Generated back up power at all City Buildings.

Appropriate staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration of this item.
