To the Honorable Board:

 

B.O.A. #191932….The Director of Traffic and Parking install signage at Mondamin Court and Harrison St to deter vehicles from entering in the wrong direction

 

Traffic and Parking has reviewed the intersection of Mondamin Court and Harrison St.  A work order has been issued to the Sign Maintenance crew to install an additional One Way Blade and Do Not Enter sign at this intersection.

 

B.O.A. #191933…The Director of Traffic and Parking install a Stop sign at the intersection of Windsor and South Streets at 111 South St.

 

Traffic and Parking has reviewed the above intersection.  Per the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) which is a federal, state and city standard, a Stop sign cannot be installed at this location.

 

B.O.A. #191934…The Director of Traffic and Parking install a Blind Driveway sign at the intersection of Hammond and Dickinson St.

 

Traffic and Parking has reviewed the above intersection.  Traffic and Parking does not have this sin in inventory.  This sign has been ordered.  It is expected to take 6 - 8 weeks for this sign to be fabricated, delivered and then installed.  A work order has been issued to the Sign Maintenance crew to install a Blind Driveway sign at this location as soon as the sign is delivered to the City.

 

B.O.A. #191937…The Director of Traffic and Parking install a Stop sign at the intersection of Linwood St and the Somerville Ave extension.

 

The above intersection is under the jurisdiction of MassDOT.  Traffic and Parking has contacted MassDOT.  MassDOT has authorized Traffic and Parking to install a Stop sign at this location.  A mtg is being arraigned to locate the placement of this sign.  After this mtg a work order will be issued to the Sign Maintenance crew to install a Stop sign.

 

B.O.A. #191945…That the Director of Traffic and Parking add signage behind the Rite Aid Pharmacy, at the entrance of the community path, indicating that no cars are allowed.

 

The Bikeway Project at this location is a MassDOT construction project.  Traffic and Parking has contacted the MassDOT resident engineer for this project. The Resident engineer has notified Traffic and Parking that MassDOT will install the requested signs.
