To the Honorable Board:
I respectfully request that your Honorable Board accept a grant of $187,801 from the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources' Green Communities program to the Office of Sustainability & Environment, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for the installation of a public electric vehicle charging station and energy efficient lighting in Fire engines 1, 6, and 7; Kennedy School; Central Library; and Cross Street Senior Center.
My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank your for your consideration of this item.
