To the Honorable City Council:

 

The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve expending a grant of $366,729.25 from the Boston MPO Surplus FY26 Community Connections Program by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council to the Strategy and Development Mobility Division, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. Matching funds totaling $91,682.31 have already been committed from the existing bike share revenue account.

 

The purpose of this grant is to pay for new e-bikes,replacement batteries and two new docking stations as a part of the Bluebikes bikeshare system.
