To the Honorable City Council:

At the request of Councilor Davis, I hereby re-submit the language below to rescind the acceptance of G. L. c. 147, §§ 11, 12 and 13, establishing a reserve police force. In order for the rescission to take effect, the item requires a vote of the City Council, and approval of the Mayor, pursuant to the process set forth in G. L. c. 4, § 4B.   Please let me know if you have any questions.

ORDER-The City of Somerville hereby rescinds its acceptance of the provisions of Sections 11, 12 and 13 of Chapter 147 of the Massachusetts General Laws, originally accepted by the Somerville Board of Aldermen on April 10, 2008.
