Be it hereby known to all that the

Somerville Board of Aldermen

Offers its sincerest commendations to

Kathleen Powers

Who is leaving the Somerville Journal after 17 years

of dedicated service to the paper’s readers and the

city’s residents, first as a Reporter, then Editor, and

most recently, as Managing Editor. A frequent

Somervillian herself, Kat always worked to inform

the public and provide a voice for the voiceless.

The entire Membership extends its best wishes

for continued professional success at the

American Red Cross and in all endeavors.
