Requesting approval to create the COVID-19 Stabilization Fund.

To the Honorable City Council:

I respectfully request that your Honorable City Council vote to create the COVID-19 Stabilization Fund under the provisions of Chapter 40, Section 5B of the Massachusetts General Laws for the purpose of funding any and all city service impacts resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sources of revenue may include grants, gifts, appropriations from reserves, and appropriations from the tax levy.

My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
