To the Honorable City Council:
The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council convene in Executive Session pursuant to G. L. c. 30A, Section 21(3) with Matt Sirigu, Chief Labor Counsel for the City of Somerville, to discuss the City’s collective bargaining agreement negotiation strategy between the Somerville Municipal Employees Association and SEIU Local 888 (E-911 Dispatchers) in FY25 based upon updated budget and City staffing projections. Discussion in the open session of the council meeting may have a detrimental effect on the City of Somerville's negotiating position.
