Dear Honorable Board Members:

The City of Somerville Health Department has been awarded a Medical Reserve Corp. Grant from Region 4B Emergency Preparedness in the amount of $2000.00.

This grant will support the Medical Reserve Corp and the Health Department staff on trainings for Emergency Preparedness.

In accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 44, section 53A which requires a vote of the Board of Alderman for the expenditure of grants or gifts from the federal government and from a charitable foundation, private corporation, or an individual, or from the Commonwealth, a County or Municipality or agency thereof, I request approval to accept this grant which totals $2,000.00.
