To the Honorable Board:
Agenda Item 198194
That the Chief of Police and the Director of Traffic and Parking direct that the corner of Pinckney Street and Pinckney Place be patrolled on Saturday nights and that vehicles parked in fire lanes be ticketed.
The corner of Pinckney Street and Pinckney Place is on a Parking Control Officer’s assigned route. All observed parking restriction violations are issued citations

That the Director of Traffic and Parking replace the missing NO TURN 7-9 AM traffic sign at the corner of Laurel Street and Laurel Terrace.
The No U Turn 7-9 AM sign at the corner of Laurel St and Laurel Terrace will be reinstalled.

That the Director of Traffic and Parking install signage at each corner of the intersection of Summer and School Streets, designating no parking for 20 feet from the intersection.
It is a state law that prohibits parking within 20’ of an intersection. Traffic and Parking only installs No Parking signs 20’ from an intersection for extreme circumstances. Traffic and Parking will complete a Complaint Form and keep a log of enforcement activity for 24/7 for a two week period. If after this period parking violations persist then Traffic and Parking will install the No Parking signs 20’ from the intersection.

That the Director of Traffic and Parking install a flashing STOP sign at Springfield Street and Concord Avenue.
A flashing Stop sign will be installed at Springfield Street and Concord Ave.

That the Director of Traffic and Parking replace the faded YIELD sign at the intersection of Alewife Brook Parkway and Powderhouse Blvd.
The intersection of Alewife Brook Parkway and Powder House Blvd is not under the jurisdiction of the City of Somerville. This intersection is under the jurisdiction of MassDOT. MassDOT will be notified of the contents of this work order.
