To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request that your Honorable Board accept a grant up to $25,000.00 from the Boston Mayor's Office of Emergency Management  through the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant funding.  The funds will be used to support our participation in Operation Urban Shield.  Operation Urban Shield is a multi-jurisdictional, multi-disciplinary exercise testing response capabilities to natural and man made disasters.

My staff will be available to answer any questions that you may have.
