Dear Honorable Board Members:

Pursuant to Section 2-121 of the Code of Ordinances, I hereby request approval to retain the services of outside counsel to represent the City of Somerville in the above-referenced case.

Seyfarth Shaw, LLP is a skilled firm in the matters at issue in this action.  The firm has represented other municipalities in similar actions.  As such, I request approval to retain this firm.
