Requesting an appropriation of $25,750,000 and authorization to borrow $25,750,000 in a bond for the cost of implementing the Assembly Row DIF District and Development Program.

To the Honorable Board:

I hereby request, subject to the approval of your Honorable Board, an appropriation in the amount of $25,750,000.00 and authorization for the City Treasurer, with the approval of the Mayor to borrow $25,750,000.00 to meet said appropriation for the purpose of implementing the City’s Assembly Row DIF District and development program, including all costs incidental or related thereto, which shall include the following purposes:  roadway construction and reconstruction, water main construction and reconstruction, storm water drainage and sewer infrastructure construction and reconstruction, traffic signaling installation and replacement, sidewalk construction and reconstruction, land acquisition, landscaping, and lighting and utility improvements.

To meet said appropriation, the Treasurer will be authorized to borrow $25,750,000.00 as provided by M.G.L. Chapter 44.
