To the Honorable Board:

I hereby request, subject to the approval of your Honorable Board, an appropriation in the amount of $50,000,000 in order to pay costs related to the extension of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's Green Line to the City of Somerville pursuant to an Agreement with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts acting through its Department of Transportation. To meet said appropriation, the Treasurer will be authorized to borrow $50,000,000 as provided by MGL Chapter 44 or pursuant to any other enabling authority.
