Traffic and Parking Director Responding to Various Board Orders.

To the Honorable Board:
{The following are responses by Traffic and Parking to various Board Orders.)
• B.O.A. Order #190370 That the Director of Traffic and Parking appear before this Board’s Committee on Traffic and Parking regarding vehicles exiting from Clyde St onto Cedar St.
The Director of Traffic and Parking will appear before the B.O.A.’s Committee on Traffic and Parking at their convenience.
• B.O.A. Order #190398 That the Director of Traffic and Parking appear before this Board’s Committee on Traffic and Parking to discuss pedestrian safety and traffic issues on Concord and Newton Streets and remedies to eliminate speeding traffic and unsafe situations for pedestrians and children who attend the Argenziano School.
The Director of Traffic and Parking will appear before the B.O.A,’s Committee on Traffic and Parking at their convenience.
• B.O.A. Order # 190350 That the Director of Traffic and Parking install RIGHT ON RED signs on Somerville Avenue, to allow traffic exiting School Street onto Somerville Avenue the ability to turn right on red.
Traffic and Parking is evaluating all Traffic Signals and No Turn On Red signs (enforcement) along the Somerville Ave corridor. In order change a No Turn on Red along this corridor, Traffic and Parking is required to amend the Traffic Control Agreement with MassDOT currently in effect. Traffic and Parking has contacted MassDOT and is awaiting a response on the amendment process.
Upon official completion of the project, Traffic and Parking will place an agenda item before the Traffic Commission to allow Right on Red at the following intersections: Beacon St at Somerville Ave, Somerville Ave at Park St and School St at Somerville Ave
