To the Honorable City Council:

 

The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council accept and approve expending a grant of 15,000 from the Massachusetts General Court and the State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) to the Health and Human Services Department of Veterans Services, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant also requires a match of $15,000 from the city. The match will come from existing funds in the Veterans Grounds Maintenance Account.

 

The purpose of this grant is to pay for supporting the Somerville Veterans Memorial Cemetery and Archival Digitization project.
