To the Honorable Board:

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has requested a permanent easement in conjunction with the Broadway streetscape improvements project.  Attached is a copy of the proposed easement.  A full scale easement plan will be distributed in hard copy.  The "Easement Area" is the area in which the MassDOT improvements will be constructed in front of the Gold Star Memorial Library. 

I therefore respectfully request that the Board of Aldermen vote favorably on the grant of this permanent easement.  Anne Thomas in the Law Department will be available to respond to any questions.
