Dear Honorable Board Members:

On behalf of David Capuano, I have attached a Disclosure by a Municipal Employee of Financial Interest in a Municipal Contract along with the Approval of Exemption form for your review and approval.

Mr. Capuano is a City of Somerville Parking Control Officer who was recently offered a position as crossing guard for the City of Somerville Police Department, subject to your approval of the exemption. The disclosure permits Mr. Capuano to perform the services of crossing guard.

Please take a vote on whether to approve the exemption under G. L. c. 268A, Section 20(b). If your Honorable Board approves the exemption, please sign and date the attached form and return to me. My office will arrange for Chief Fallon's signature.
