To the Honorable City Council:

I hereby request, subject to the approval of your Honorable City Council, an appropriation in the amount of $1,400,000 in order to acquire a property located at 217 Somerville Avenue. The acquisition will provide a public park and open space to one of the most densely populated portions of the city. To meet said appropriation, the Treasurer will be authorized to borrow $1.4M as provided by MGL Chapter 44.
