To the Honorable City Council:

I respectfully request that your Honorable City Council accept a grant of $3,000 from the Somerville Housing Authority to the Arts Council, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for the expenses associated with running the Mystic Mural project which serves youth from the Housing development.

My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank your for your consideration of this item.
