To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request that your Honorable Board accept a grant of $12,540.45 from Metro Mayors Shannon Initiative to the Police Department under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant requires some level of matching funds from the city. The purpose of this grant is to be used in a manner consistent with the stategies and objectives outlined in the Metro Mayors CSI Shannon Grant. Awarded funds can be used to supplement but not supplant any current youth violence prevention and anti-gang efforts.
