Official Text

To the Honorable City Council:

I respectfully request that you repurpose and transfer $400,000 from the Parks Stabilization Fund to the COVID 19 Stabilization Fund.

An additional $400,000 has become available in the Parks Stabilization Fund resulting from a $400,000 PARC Grant received for the Prospect Hill Monument/Park Project. Expenses incurred on the Parks Stabilization Fund for Prospect Hill Monument/Park Project can safely be moved to the PARC grant, thus opening up additional monies that can be transferred.

The purpose of the Parks Stabilization Fund is to fund upgrades and renovations to parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities.  It may also be used to fund debt service for long-term parks projects.

The balance of the Parks Stabilization Fund after the transfer will be $406,491.

My staff will be available to address any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration of this item.

Respectfully Submitted,

Joseph A. Curtatone, Mayor
