Community Preservation Committee responding to #203735 re: prioritizing affordable housing funds for municipal workforce housing.

To the Honorable Board:

The Board of Aldermen asked the Community Preservation Committee to consider whether we should prioritize affordable housing funds for municipal workforce housing.

The CPC met and considered this request, and decided not to make a special priority for municipal workforce housing. We are continuing our support for the 100 Homes Program, which is aimed at the same kind of people who would be covered by a municipal workforce housing program - moderate income households that earn less than 100% of the area median income.

Attached is a letter to explaining our decision. Please let me know if you have any questions.
