Dear Honorable Board of Aldermen,

In November 2021, the Somerville Historic Preservation Commission staff developed a preliminary study report to designate the property at 125 Highland Avenue as the First Universalist Church Historic District. The report was submitted to the Massachusetts Historical Commission, as required. The Somerville Historic Preservation Commission held a public hearing on this item in March of 2022, and recommended that the item be forwarded to the City Council for consideration.

The final study report and ordinance are attached.
