To the Honorable City Council:
I respectfully request that your Honorable City Council accept a grant of $8,529.00 from the Secretary of State's Office, Election Division using CARES Act funds to the Elections Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds. The purpose of this grant is to pay for 10 ballot boxes used for mail in voting ballot applications and ballots collection.
My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank your for your consideration of this item.
