To the Honorable Board:

I hereby request, subject to the approval of your Honorable Board, an appropriation in the amount of eight thousand dollars ($80,000.00) for the purchase of new radio equipment to comply with the FCC mandate that all radio systems operate on a narrow band frequency by January 1, 2013. 

Additionally, I respectfully request an authorization for the City Treasurer to borrow $80,000.00 to meet said appropriation.
