To the Honorable City Council:
I hereby convey notification that during the month of November residents and other recycling customers will receive a postcard with educational information on recycling. A copy of the postcard is attached. This postcard has two purposes: 1) to reduce contamination in Somerville's recycling, and 2) to remind residents of the Waste Wizard app (www.somervillema.gov/wizard). The postcard is a joint effort between the City of Somerville and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. Proper recycling reduces costs and environmental impacts.
