To the Honorable Board:

I request that you accept a grant from the FEMA  Assistance to Firefighters Grant program in the amount of $272,327.00 for the installation of Opticom pre-emption systems at 22 key intersections in the City to reduce accidents and to decrease emergency vehicle response times. The grant requires a match from the City in the amount of $54,465.

My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.
