To the Honorable City Council:

 

I respectfully  request "Use of Available Funds" in the amount of $101,074 in the Personal Services Account of the Police E-911 FY2021 approved budget to fund retroactive FY21 salary and benefit costs resulting from the Memorandum of Agreement Between the City of Somerville and the SEIU/Local 888, E-911 Call Taker/Dispatchers Chapter signed on November 4, 2020. The appropriation covers the period July 1, 2020 through January 16, 2021. The previous appropriation covered the period January 17th through June 30, 2021.

 

Available monies to fund the collective bargaining agreement are available due to the acceptance on September 23, 2020 of $186,976 and $33,244 in grants awarded by the State Office of Public Safety and Security for the Police's 911 services.

 

The appropriation will be allocated to the following accounts:

 

511000  Salaries                       $69,293

514004  Shift Differential           $10,974

513000  Overtime                      $18,928

515004  Holidays                       $1,879
