To the Honorable City Council:
The Mayor respectfully requests that this Council approve the use of available funds in the Police Salaries account (0121051-511000) in the amount of $8,800 to provide cost of living increases for the Deputy Chief positions, consistent with the two-step increases provided to non-union employees in the Fiscal Year 2027 budget. Increases for these positions were inadvertently omitted from the budget approved by the City Council on June 25, 2026.
Appropriate staff will be available to address any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration of this item.
