To the Honorable City Council:
The City Attorney respectfully conveys to this Council an update regarding item #26-1025, and Order that the City Attorney advise this Council on the Mayor's compliance with Section 6-4 of the Somerville Charter as it relates to the submission of the Fiscal Year 2027 budget, particularly "the school budget, as adopted by the school committee".The City Attorney attended the Finance Committee meeting on June 16, 2026 to provide this update. This item is submitted to ensure the attached memo is available for future reference. Appropriate staff will be available to answer any questions you may have.
