That the Director of the Office of Sustainability and Environment and the Commissioner of Public Works, report to this Council regarding recycling of plastic and assertions that most plastic is no longer being recycled; that it costs more to process plastic in the recycling stream than if it were just thrown in the regular trash; and whether updated guidance to residents should be issued regarding how to dispose of plastic.
