To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request that your Honorable Board accept a grant of $100,618 from FEMA's Assistance to Firefighter Grant Program to the Fire Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant requires some level of matching funds from the city. The purpose of this grant is to pay for the replacement of (77) 30 minute and (40) 60 minute SCBA breathing air cylinders that reach the 15 year mandatory end of service life in 2018.
