To the Honorable Board:

Agenda Item 199958

That the Director of Traffic and Parking place a DEAD END sign at the intersection of Roberts and Hinckley Streets.

Roberts St is a private way.  Other than street name blades, private lane signs and fire lane signs, Traffic and Parking does not install signs on private ways.

Agenda Item 199959

That the Director of Traffic and Parking consider installing signage or a mirror at the intersection of Woodbine and Lowell Streets so cars exiting onto Lowell Street can see oncoming traffic before pulling out.

This intersection is typical of intersections throughout the City. Sight lines while not optimal are adequate.  The City does not install mirrors.

Agenda Item 199964

That the Director of Traffic and Parking replace the broken street sign at the corner of Minnesota and Pennsylvania Avenues.

Traffic and Parking will replace the broken sign.

Agenda Item 199966

That the Director of Traffic and Parking repaint the crosswalk at Franklin and Washington Streets.

This location is not a safe location for a crosswalk. The previous crosswalk at this location was abandoned by previous Traffic and Parking administrators. In addition there are no ADA ramps on either side of Washington St.  A new crosswalk can not be installed without ADA ramps.  A crosswalk at this location would also terminate in a driveway.  This condition is also not within acceptable standards for a crosswalk due to safety concerns.  Nearby adjacent crosswalks in this area should be used to cross Washington St.  A new crosswalk can not be installed at this location

Agenda Item 199967

That the Director of Traffic and Parking increase parking permit enforcement on Rush Street after 6 PM.

Rush St is on a defined route for Parking Control Officers for this time period.

Please contact me with any questions.
