To the Honorable Board:

I respectfully request that your Honorable Board accept a grant of $17,216.00 from the Office of Justice Programs FY17Byrne to the Police Department, under the provisions of MGL Chapter 44, Section 53A. This grant does not require the commitment of new matching funds.  The purpose of this grant is to pay for Active Shooter Response Training in Somerville Schools and Public Bld.

My staff will be available to answer any questions you may have. Thank your for your consideration of this item.
