To the Honorable Board:

Agenda Item # 197662:  That the Commissioner of Public Works and the Chief Fire Engineer order the appropriate utility companies to remove the double pole at 33 Columbus Avenue as it is creating a public safety issue.

The fire department inspected this pole situation.  A third pole of a larger diameter  has been added to the site.  N-Star is doing tree trimming and moving their equipment over soon.  The other utilities will then follow.  This was necessary due to utilities not moving their equipment in a timely manner when the double pole was originally added.  Also an additional pole may be necessary on the other side of the street to prevent this situation in the future.  This is primarily being handled by DPW Lights and Lines.
