To the Honorable Board:

 

Agenda Item 200041                     

That the Director of Traffic and Parking and the Chief of Police insure that whenever a sidewalk is closed due to construction - especially near a school -- that there be a clearly-marked crosswalk or a police detail, for pedestrian safety.

 

All Traffic Management Plans reviewed by Traffic and Parking are required to maintain pedestrian safety with a police detail and temporary crosswalks where required.

 

Agenda Item 200052                     

That the Director of Traffic and Parking report to this Board on the feasibility of a traffic light at Foley Street and Middlesex Avenue.

 

There are traffic signals currently at Foley St at Middlesex Ave

 

Agenda Item 200053                     

That the Director of Traffic and Parking and the Chief of Police cite illegally parked delivery trucks on Winter Street.

 

Winter St is on a defined Parking Control Officer’s route.  All vehicles in violation of City parking regulations are issued citations.

 

Agenda Item 200054                     

That the Director of Traffic and Parking report to this Board on the feasibility of a flashing pedestrian walkway on Broadway near the East Branch library.

 

This section of Broadway is in the final stages of reconstruction. Please refer any requests to DPW.

 

Agenda Item 200059                     

That the Director of Traffic and Parking repair the veterans sign at Columbus and Warren Avenues.

The veteran sign at the above location will be repaired.
