Dear Honorable Board of Alderman:

The DPW would like to transfer $7,350 from 140551-511300 Highway Wages to 140351-511000 Engineering Salaries.

The Engineering Salary account was reduced by $9,056 on September 7, 2010 with Board Order 189946 to fund a portion of the City’s Insurance Deductible for Flood Costs due to the July 10, 2010 flood. At the time, there was an Engineer Position unfilled. The position was subsequently filled and salary dollars were never restored to the account.  This transfer is necessary to fund the Engineering Department for the remainder of FY11.
