Requesting an appropriation and authorization to borrow $550,000 in a bond for betterments and improvements to the East Broadway streetscape.

To the Honorable Board:

I hereby request, subject to the approval of your Honorable Board, an appropriation in the amount of $550,000.00 for the betterment and improvement of East Broadway Streetscape, and authorization for the City Treasurer, with the approval of the Mayor to borrow $550,000.00 to meet said appropriation.

The project includes procurement and installation of pedestrian-scaled lighting, and improvements to street tree planting.

To meet said appropriation, the Treasurer will be authorized to borrow $550,000.00 as provided by M.G.L. Chapter 44.
